Dr Vik Vijh is a consultant who performs reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He received his training in London and passed the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) examination in 1988. After a formal training program in general surgery, he achieved the distinction of becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of both England and Edinburgh in 1992.

Training & Expertise Dr. Vik Vijh began his career in plastic surgery with a two-and-a-half-year period of research in wound healing and scarring. Following this, he worked as a plastic surgeon in hospitals throughout London as part of a formal and intensive training program.

This program was enhanced for six months when he undertook a formal cosmetic surgery fellowship to enhance and augment his skills and complete his training as a reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgeon. This culminated in his acceptance as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery in September 2002.

Dr. Vijh was appointed as a consultant plastic surgeon in the National Health Service (NHS) in 2002. He then went on a six-month travelling fellowship and visited some of the most accomplished plastic surgeons around the world to fine tune his surgical skills. Presently, he is a consultant plastic surgeon in the NHS, covering the Birmingham and West Midland areas, as well as the entire county of Herefordshire. In the NHS, he specializes in breast surgery, including reconstructive breast surgery, as well as skin cancer surgery and general plastic surgery.  In addition to his private practice as a key member of reform Surgical, he is heavily involved in the training of reconstructive and cosmetic surgeons in both London and beyond.

Dr. Vik Vijh takes an active role in both television and print media. As an author of several plastic surgery articles he has become a valuable resource for individuals who want to learn more about or are considering a cosmetic procedure. Mr. Vijh is also familiar to thousands of television viewers across Britain, having been featured multiple times on the nation’s five main television channels. His first appearance was ten years ago on London Today for ITV. More recently he has performed plastic surgery on Extreme Makeover UK, and appeared as the plastic surgery expert on Channel 4’s Celebrity Ten Years Younger.
